We are very excited to introduce a disc that has long been requested in our lineup, a super overstable, true approach disc. This is the Sumo!
Sumo wrestling was born as a Shinto ritual to entertain gods in order to guarantee a good harvest. When the disc gods send the winds to test us, the Sumo is here to appease them in order to guarantee a bountiful harvest of birdies!
Throwing a Sumo over 300’ is an impressive feat for the biggest of arms. You can lay into this disc as hard as you want, in any wind, and it will still fly overstable, slow, and with little glide. It is an incredibly reliable approach disc that wants to get to the ground. Among all the manufacturers, it fills a special role by having uniquely low glide without being comically overstable. Give it a toss, and you will see. This disc does something almost no other discs do.
